To Do List

Week Three of the Cure and this week apparently I have to arrange for people to come in and do the work. That would be good, but unfortunately the budget doesn’t stretch to that. So instead, I’m writing a list of all the things I will need to do myself.

Build alcove shelves and cupboards

Fit new curtain poles (which I ordered last night) and stain / paint them

Make new ledge and brace door for understairs cupboard

Knock down half of the dividing wall to the kitchen and fit steel beam (with help from a friendly structural engineer!)

Make seat cushions for sofa

Reupholster two chairs (once I have bought them)

Make curtains

Paint walls

Paint alcove cupboards and shelves (I’m thinking of Green Oxide in the Dulux Heritage range)

Paint cupboard door and fit latch, etc

I also need to buy things like lamps, a rug and cushions. The only thing I can see from that list above which I could delegate is the painting. I might get Andy to do that - I’ll see how the budget goes.
