About This Blog
It all started with the inspirational book Apartment Therapy by Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan. I don’t have an apartment and I don’t live in NYC, but I do have a very small and slightly damp cottage in a market town in rural England, where I live with my husband and two cats. This blog began as a record of my progress as I worked through that book and has now expanded to include other systems of getting my life and home ship-shape. To this end, I also participate in Wardrobe Therapy and have become a member of The Clutter Diet.
My aim is to get everything organised so I can finally start enjoying my home rather than enduring it. I have always liked the idea of living in ‘genteel poverty’. I’ve got the poverty bit down to a fine art, now I’m working on being genteel.
